A Provincial Overseer is an individual charged with governing one of Vekaiyu's 27 provinces. He or she is elected to a four-year term, and may be recalled by provincial citizens if enough signatures are collected for his or her removal. Vekaiyun provinces enjoy limited self-governance, but are no longer able to secede from the Vekaiyun state as a direct consequence of the 2010 Vekaiyun Civil War.
