The President of the Volkian Federative Republic (Volkian: Президент Волжской Федеративной Республики) is the head of state and head of government of Volkia. The president leads the executive branch of the Volkian federal government and is the commander-in-chief of the Volkian Defense Forces. The 20th and current president is Yuliya Surkova, who took office on January 11, 2017.
Election for president is held every four years on the last Wednesday of October and is determined by popular vote, with the winner becoming President-Elect and sworn in on the second Wednesday of the following January.
