2016 Volkian presidential election

The 2016 Volkian presidential election was the 33rd quadrennial presidential election, held on Wednesday, October 26, 2016. The Social Democratic ticket of Federal Councilor Yuliya Surkova and Governor of Yekartovsk Oblast Vladimir Burmakin defeated five other tickets. Surkova took office as the 20th president, and Burmakin as the 19th vice president, on January 11, 2017.
