Flag of the Oan Isles
The Oan Isles is a sovereign island nation located in the West Cerenerian Ocean. Ahua the Great established the Oan Isles in 1000 CE (according to the Oan calendar this is the first year of the period AU or After Unification). He converted to Thaerism and declared it the official and only permissible religion of his realm. He spread his realm from the island of Tokamotu, over which he had been King, to surrounding islands and declared himself the Rangitanga-a-te-Moana (Ruler of the Sea). Folk religions were initially persecuted, but after the Thaerist monarchy lost a civil war in the 11th century CE, Mauism became the offical religion of the Oan Isles. Under Aotearoa the Great, the country established settler colonies in the Strathepolic Islands and integrated them into its territory, vastly expanding the size of the Oan Isles, though it lost significant swathes of territory to civil war and to Great Morstaybishlia. The country is a high-income post-industrial economy administered through free-market socialism that has a nominal GDP of over 785 billion KRB (the 8th largest in the UNAC as of 2021). Its capital, Tokapa is the seat of the Auroran Monetary Fund. (Full article...)

Flag of Fortuna
Fortuna is a unitary totalitarian dictatorship island nation. The nation makes up all of the Aspirian Isles off the East coast of the Yasterian continent, sharing maritime borders with Sorentavia, Fusō, Isklevyu, Auraliyu, and the Packilvanian enclave of Antimovo. Its capital is Destino. Settlement in what would become Fortuna began in 20,000 BCE, but the Aspirian Isles would remain largely fragmented until a series of conquests led to the the formation of the First Fortunan Empire in 1017 CE. This state would last until its collapse in the 1644 as a result of the Great Civil War, after which the islands were fragmented for the following three centuries. The steady reconsolidation of the islands, combined with the rise of the Unitary Nationalist Party, lead to the reunification of the Fortunan Archipelago and the creation of the Second Fotunan Empire as a fascist dictatorship. Fortuna has a GDP of $555.3 billion, with its economy largely fueled by agricultural, technological, and weapons exports. (Full article...)

The Oan Isles is an ancient country that is formally stated to have been established in 1000 CE by Ahua the Great. However, the Oan Isles has been inhabited mostly but not exclusively by primines since around 20,000 BCE. As a result, the history of the Oan Isles is taken to include the period before the country was formally established. The country has since experienced expansion, for instance under the Strathepolic Expansion, cessation of territory after the Morsto-Oan War, and participation in international conflicts such as the Auroran-Pacific War.

The Oan Isles was first colonised by human beings 90,000 years ago. These humans migrated from Yasteria to populate Aurora. There are contradicting conclusions drawn by archeologists as to the nature of these humans and how they spread as they did. It is believed that they made simple rafts from branches of trees strewn together with vines and simple rope made from braiding grass. They possessed basic navigation as there is evidence of cave and rock paintings and carvings depicting what scientists believe are star constellations. (Full article...)
