The Proletarian Communes of Auraliyu, commonly known as Auraliyu, is a federal sovereign state in Northeast Yasteria comprised of 99 local self administrated Communes. It shares land borders with 4 other states, Kelssek, Iskleyvyu, Algaisia, and Luthaiya. It is currently under collective administration with the AFL-CIAO, sharing power with legislative and judicial authority, with the position of Head of State and Government being controlled by both. The current form of Auraliyu came to be in 1932 following the Crimson Coup D'etat that led the redrafting of the Auraliyun Constitution and AFL-CIAO's rise to power, in which the country was formerly administered under a single-party Marxist-Leninist dictatorship following the end of the 1922 Auraliyun General Strike. Auraliyu shares coast line with the Pacific Ocean.
Auraliyu is a semi-presidential republic, in which power is usually shared between the Chairman of the Communes (the current Chairman is Angus Vaiyre) and a Party or Coalition General Secretary appointed by the Chairman which is constitutionally obligated if a party or coalition reaches a working majority in the House of Deputies. The legislature is technically three houses, the House of Deputies, the lower house, the Senate of the Communes, the upper house, and the National Labor Congress of the AFL-CIAO. There are currently 553 Deputies in the Lower House apportioned to every Commune through multi-member districts, and there are 2 Senators per every Commune to ensure equal representation in the Chamber. The National Labor Congress typically varies, as they usually comprise of elected representatives from local unions who are members of and are inferior to the AFL-CIAO with elections usually being simultaneous with the federal Chairman election every 4 years. The capital of Auraliyu is Ave'lose, which holds all legislative, executive, judiciary, and union facilities, while Amberine is the largest city which has a population of over 6 million people, other major urban centers include Goladeen, Port Misklakov, Brolin, and Levoynsk.
