Jotun Inc is a Norgsveltian multinational technology company headquartered in Osfjord, Norgsveldet. Jotun is one of the world’s largest technology companies by revenue, with $301.3 billion in 2022 revenue. As of March 2023, Jotun is the largest company in North Concordian Economic Forum, Norgsveltian Crown Realm and in Norgsveldet outright. As of June 2022, Jotun is the third largest personal computer vendor by unit of sales and the second-largest mobile phone manufacturer in the world. It is considered to be one of the Big Nine Norgsveltian tech companies. Being the largest of the companies in the Big Nine.

Jotun was founded as Trolheimor Computer Company on April 1, 1974 by Ørn Halksviker, Tor Askertarter and Elisa Ny’Tarti to develop and sell Jotun Alpha Series personal computers. The company’s second computer, Jotun Norten, became a best seller and one of the first mass-produced microcomputers. Jotun went public in 1980 to instant financial success. The company developed computers featuring innovative graphical user interfaces, including the 1982 original Sjøck, announced that year in a critically acclaimed advertisement called “1982.” By 1983, the high cost of its products and power struggles between Halksviker and Askertarter, Halksvikr stepped down from his position as CEO and pursued other ventures, primary in the Federation of the Southern Coast in the Colline de la Santé, special status city in the medical industry field.

As the market greatly expanded for personal computers and evolved through the 1990s, Jotun lost considerable market share to the lower-priced company of Dragehart. Over the decade Tor Askertarter pushed forward with unorthodox business tactics and strategies. Including introducing the J-Tak, Jo-Por, Jo-Dragi and most importantly the Jotun phone. All of which reached critical acclaim, launching several media and advertising campaigns, opening Jotun Stores retail chain, and acquiring numerous companies to broaden the company’s portfolio. As of 2023, Tor Askertarter is still currently the CEO of Jotun Inc.

Jotun became the first publicly traded Norgsveltian company to be valued at over $500 billion in August 2018, then at $1 trillion in 2020 and is estimated to be at $2 trillion in 2024. It remains the only Norgsveltian company with a value of over a trillion SHD. The company has received criticism for its environmental practices and business ethics, including anti-competitive practices. Virtually the whole of the production, material sourcing, and labor is done within the Federation of the Southern Coast, for various factors but primarily done due to the company’s working relationship with government and lower cost for specialized labor. A secondary production assembly being in Tangrland, as well in other developing nations, which received criticism for poor labor practices. Jotun plans to opening another assembly plant in Ymirland after negotiations with the government in 2021.

When it comes to the company’s relationship with Federation of the Southern Coast, Jotun has received criticism for the country’s extensive use of surveillance. Jotun subsidiary, Jætte, a Rochefort firm, has been a target for several conspiracy theories, due to the closeness the company has to a relationship with the Federation’s government. The subsidiary company has been awarded numerous contracts from the government, the largest one being the Ring-Bell contract and the Un Appli contract. Ring-Bell contract being a decade-long contract to supply affordable and subsidized phones to the general or underserviced peoples of the Federation who cannot afford a phone on their own. The Un Appli being the government owned super app that it contracts out to companies to maintain and provide services for. In addition to the contracts, Jætte works with the government of the Federation to incorporate Jotun-Classroom into the classroom. In 2017, Ella Elindatur, a high level executive was arrested by the Federal police in the Federation for tax evasion. Jotun did not publish a response to the charges outside of paying missing taxes.

Examples including 'synthetic hyper-realistic carbonate wood' along the edges and frame. Appealing to the more traditionally and environmentally mind consumers.

Jætte having made special computers for government work for administration work, such as clerks and hospital staff. The specialized computers being a exclusive use in the Côtois government, most other nations within the Crown Realm preferring more affordable options. The Côtois government stated reasoning for its expansive use of Jætte computers, as the company has a near monopoly on personal phones and smartwatches within the country as a result. The eco-system of company produces, allows for shorter queue times, easier training for use and more streamlined process of government functions for its citizenry. The Côtois government citing that the streamline and shorter queue times actually results in it costing less per-citizen for government functions than its counterparts though this claim is disputed by select Norgsveltian economists.

DMB being developed in 2006, and the Jo-TV being the first direct device that made it mass market. The early lead on using DMB resulted in many of the first channels being more catered to Jotun audience. Gaming side of things, the Jo-TV was considered to be less powerful than other game consoles at it's release in 2007 but it was considerably more widespread than any other console due to its multi-use and the Jotun Ecosystem factors outright. The first edition also included streaming media and with collaboration of more regional broadcasting entities includes local media such as sports or news.

Along side the Jo-TV, their was a release of a microconsole at a cheaper price dubbed 'Petite Jo-TV.' Corporate Culture

Jotun was an extremely successful founder in the tech booms of the 1970s, who rejected the traditional notions of both Akuan and Ulvriktruar corporate culture. Askertarter would often walk around the office in sandals, and encouraged each department to have a ‘moral support’ animal. To this day, Askertarter still walks around in Valkyr shirts, sandals, and cargo shorts in the office. Jotun’s informal culture had become a key trait that differentiated it from its competitors. According to a 2012 report in Pzæffin’s Papers, this has resulted in the corporate culture to be more akin to a startup rather than a multinational corporation.

The company has grown massively, and has always been led by Askertarter. Despite that, some former executives argued Jotun lost a bit of its original character. Nevertheless, Jotun has maintained a reputation for fostering individuality and excellence that reliably attracts talented workers. Taking full use of the Norgsveltian Crown Realm ease of movement policies to bring in talent from across the crown realm, especially from Eyjaria and Federation of the Southern Coast.

The diverse and international nature of the company led to some growing pains. Particularly with workers from the Federation, due to the massive different business culture such as frequent use of ‘blue collar’ language even with advanced skill labor employees and the strict union culture. Jotun has made attempts to integrate the different views on labor and corporate culture several times from its diverse employee hires, often with mixed response. However one of the most successful ventures of integration was to hire middle people or interlockers between Côtoise employees, Norgsveldet, Eyjarians and the rest of the Crown Realm. The interlockers almost always are Akuanists and primarily from Vakrestrender by a large margin with Eyjarian-Akuanists being close second. Jotun pioneered the interlocker method for cross-culture business within the crown realm.
