While the political association mainly cooperate on cultural matters, economic, security and other foreign policy matters is often brought up during meetings that the respective leaders has with the monarch. Though most nations within the Crown Realm is completely sovereign, Vakrestrender still officially part of Norgsveldet as Crown States within the Norgsveltian Imperial Realm which means despite amount of autonomy those two states might have they still under Norgsveltian Foreign Policy.

The working language within the Crown Realm is Norgsveltian, and a member of the Crown Realm is called Crown Realm Nation.

Structure

Head of the Crown Realm

In the foundation charter of the Osfjord Delcaration, Olav I is the head of the Crown Realm. When the monarch dies, the successor to the Norgsveltian crown automatically becomes the new head of the Crown Realms. The position is symbolic and rooted in tradition. Each nation within the Crown Realms having their own traditions to go alongside the Crown Realm's traditions for the monarch.

Crown Realms Heads of Government Meeting

The main decision-making organ of the Crown Realms, is the annual Crown Realms Heads of Government Meeting (CRHGM), where the Crown Realms heads of government, including prime ministers, presidents and Jarls assemble for several days to discuss matters of mutual interest. CRHGM is the successor to the former Colonial Conferences and Imperial Meeting of Colonies, dating back to the colonial era of Norgsveldet. In addition there are several regular meetings of finance ministers, law ministers, health ministers and other related fields of mutual interest.

Secretary General

The head of the Crown Realms is called the Secretary General, and is traditionally held by either a Norgsveltian or a Côtoise. The Secretary General is in charge of organizing meetings, finalizing the budget, setting the agenda and facilitating cooperation among member governments or countries. It is responsible to the CRHGM collectively and can be called for dismissal at anytime by the CRHGM. Among other duties, the Secretary General assists in policy development and policy advice for the Crown Realms; ensure multilateral communication among member governments. As well direct technical assistance to help governments in the social and economic development of their countries. Charged by the King (or Queen) to promote and support the Crown Realm's fundamental political values.

The Secretary General is elected selected by the Norgsveltian Monarch in a ceremony and certified in a vote by the heads of government of the Crown Realm. The Secretary General services no more than two eight-year terms. The Secretary General selects several under secretaries for their administration of the Crown Realm to head the several various organs of the administration.

Crown Realm Citizenship and Crown Representatives

According to the founding charter of the organization, majority of members treat citizens from other member states as citizens of the Crown Realm. Norgsveldet and Federation as well some others, are granted the right to vote in the government but not hold any office within the member country. Legally, Crown Realm Citizen is considered resident of the country rather than a full citizen but nevertheless they are treated the same as a citizen of country. The citizen claus has not been without some controversy, as Federation has raised concerns with Vakrestrender, primary due citizens of the Federation escaping the taxation of the government by leaving and living in Vakrestrender but own their assets within the country.

The close association amongst the Crown Realms is shown within the diplomatic protocols of the Crown Realm countries. A important example being when engaging a diplomatic talks or discussions, Crown Realm governments exchange Crown Representatives instead of ambassadors.

Membership

As of 2022, there are 8 Crown Realm Nations: Norgsveldet, Tangrland, Maanbriak, Vakrestrender, Federation, Eyjaria, Dvalheim and Haakondal.

Crown Realm Organizations

The Crown Realm countries share many links outside of government, with over a officially accredited ninety non-government organisations, notably for sport, culture, education, law, charity and cuisine claiming to operate on a Crown Realm wide basis.

In order for a NGO to receive accreditation within the Crown Realm, one has to go through the Committee of Non-Government Organizations Accreditation and Charitable Organizations. Criteria includes being truly Crown Realm wide servicing all member states, upholding values of the Crown Realm charter and receive direct approval from a member of the royal family of Norgsveldet. There are currently 98 NGO holding formal accreditation, 127 NGO waiting for accreditation and 60 NGOs not seeking accreditation but operating within the Crown Realm. These formal accreditation organizations include Association of Crown Realm Peer Universities which manages the Crown Realm Scholarship fund and distribution of scholarships to allow students to study in other Crown Realm countries, Crown Realm Doctor Association and several others.

Ullr-Yunyøn Games

The Ullr-Yunyøn Games is a multi-sport event and is held every two years; 2022 Ullr-Yunyøn Games were held in Eyjaria and the 2024 games will be held in Norgsveldet. The sports events follow several traditional Norgsveltian sports such as skiing, hockey, baseball, snowboarding, boxing and wrestling. However it also includes several sports popular in the Federation such as several firearms sports such as target shooting and Volley Shooting (sport). Non-firearm related sports from the Federation are included as such Mix Martial Arts, basketball and volleyball.

The games are extremely competitive despite early attempts to design them around to have a relaxed atmosphere. Primary due to the Federation and Norgsveldet intense attitude towards each other in sports. In 1988, Eyjaria protest against the Ullr-Yunyøn Games for the "aggressive atmosphere of the games" while not deliberately stating Federation and Norgsveldet, Eyjaria did cite several athletes from both member countries as a unsportsmanlike. Citing the hockey game played between Federation and Norgsveldet as unnecessarily aggressive in nature. Though officially nothing came from the Eyjarian complaint, both Federation and Norgsveldet notably was less aggressive towards each other in the 1990 games.

Crown Realm Colonial Graves and Veterans Commission

The Crown Realm War Graves and Veterans Commission is responsible for maintaining the graves service personnel who died in various colonial conflicts, Great War and graves of Akuanists killed in the Akuan Atrocities. It was founded in 1918 with a later reform to include Akuanists graves in 1922. The Commission also assisted in veterans of the Great War in receiving medical attention and payments, the primary recipients being Norgsveltian Elves in the modern era. The commission has constructed 600 war cemeteries and 2,000 Akuan graves for the victims of the Akuan Atrocities.

The Commission war cemeteries feature the same architecture across all of them, with a stone Mjölnir on a arch at the entrance of each cemetery. The commission marks all graves identically, regardless of rank, species, country of origin and religion of the buried, with only their names being shown.

The commission assists in maintains various Akuan Shrines that holds chambers or crypts for the victims of the Akuan Atrocities. Notably, only providing funding by request of the Association of the Servants of Akua and local brewmasters, many of the stone monuments for the Akuan graves do not include names of the Akuanists due to no one being able to identify the various bodies. Either to far gone in decomposing or no community member being alive to identify the body.

The commission is funded by a voluntary agreement by Norgsveldet and the Federation, with 80% of the funding coming from Norgsveldet.

Commission of Higher Learning and Technology

The Commission of Higher Learning and Technology, is a intergovernmental organisation created by the Crown Realm governments to encourage development, sharing of technology, educational resources and educating of teachers. CHLT, aims to assist in creating a unified agreement between member states to have similar standards for education at the university level.

Agreements and Treaties

Gustaf III Movement and Work Agreement

Gustaf III Movement and Work Agreement, or more commonly referred to as Crown Labour and Travel Agreement is a unified agreement comprising all members of the Crown Realm to have reduced travel and work restrictions. The most important part of the agreement is the 90 day living and work article. While still requiring a passport for entry, the agreement allows for living and working in the host country up to ninety days without requiring a visa to be issued. Vakrestrender, Norgsveldet and the Federation in particular have benefited from the agreement. Vakrestrender while believing firmly in restrictive immigration, does cite the agreement as a large boost to the tourist economy during the tourist seasons and waves through seasonal workers without having to deal with immigrants moving to the isles. Norgsveldet and the Federation having a large export of skilled labours benefit from the cross labour and border access, that work with the income tax agreements the Crown Realms has.

Tax Income, Investment and Free Trade Agreement

Tax Income, Investment and Free Trade Agreement, also known as Tift is a unified agreement between Crown Realm member states. The agreement was primary pushed by Norgsveldet and the Federation, with both nations still requiring income tax from its citizens working abroad in different countries. The agreement creates a free trade zone between the countries, being one of the few cases where the Federation is acceptable of free trade agreements. The agreement reduces the cost, time and bureaucratic effort to invest into one another countries, the largest investors being Norgsveldet, the Federation and Vakrestrender in that order. Eyjaria in recent years have been approaching the Vakrestrender spot in the third position due to Bjørn Trust slowing down its investments into member states after 2018.

Crown Realm Security and Protection Agreement

The Crown Realm Security and Protection Agreement, also known as CRSPA, is an optional security and defense treaty within the Crown Realm. Being signed by most members of the Crown Realm with the exception of Maanbriak and Haakondal, as a result of the former's relationship with Vistaraland and the later not having an independent foreign policy from Hvaloaszna. While the treaty in theory does not obligate the members to defend each other in the case of attack they are expected to support one another in case of either signatories involvement in a defensive war. Which can range from substantial military aid to direct intervention. The treaty obliged the members to cooperate in matters of military training and coordination, which would include helping each member in military procurement. This has lead to many members relying on equipment manufactured in Norgsveldet and Federation. With the two making up almost 90% of the Crown Realm’s total military budget. Which has led some Norgsveltian politicians to request other members to spend more on defense, including former prime minister Olav Bergenser. With the working language during joint military exercises be done mainly in Norgsveltian but with Fraknic being intermixed and often the main language used during marine training.
