The 1888 Volkian presidential election was the first presidential election. It was held on July 9, 1888 under the new Constitution ratified on April 17, 1888. Aleksey Pushkarev was elected to the first of his two terms as president and Konstantin Yakushev became the first vice president. They were inaugurated on August 13, 1888.
