Tasselvalta is a region of Packilvania that is administered by the Provincial Government of Fidakar. It was granted independence by the Packilvanian Communist Party in 1985 but was annexed following the 2010 Tasselvalta War. It is almost entirely dominated by the Uliveru Mountains which are the source of the Ubrahamahan and Yukud Rivers. It has a boreal biome and a cool, misty and rainy montane climate. It is home to an extremely high concentration of biodiversity which includes gorillas, tigers and giant pandas.

History

In 1985, the Packilvanian Communist Party agreed to hand over political control of Packilvania to the Carriers of Mercy. However, the party had surreptitiously granted the northern part of Fidakar, known as Tasselvalta, independence, forming The Tasselvalta People's Democratic Republic. The country was ruled by the Tasselvalta Communist Party which had been part of the PCP.

The Bedonite dynasty vehemently protested the secession of Tasselvalta and continued to claim it as part of Packilvania. At the time, the country was seized with the process of recovering from the war and consolidating political institutions, so Sultan of Packilvania, Amhoud I declared that Packilvania would strive to reunite with Tasselvalta peacefully.

The intelligence agencies of Packilvania published numerous reports to the Council of Ministers of Packilvania that the continued independence of Tasselvalta was a strategic vulnerability because the sources of the Ubrahamahan and Yukud Rivers (whose basin holds a population of 100 million people) originated from there. The government under Amhoud II was reluctant to start a war over Tasselvalta due to the possible interference of Vekaiyu.

In 2010, the 2010 Vekaiyun Civil War ensued. Allegheny and Drakkengard brokered a truce between Vekaiyu and Packilvania which helped to enable the Selvala McEva government to focus on the civil war. This was agreed to because Vekaiyu did not want Packilvanian interference. Thus, Namdun III ordered the Packilvanian Armed Forces to invade, sparking the Tasselvalta War. Selvala McEva was deposed and replaced with Kral Commodore Ikrisia Levinile as Premier of Vekaiyu. Ikrisia Levinile was unable to stop or reverse the annexation and broadly accepted it. The Parliament of Packilvania ratified the annexation of Tasselvalta.

Tasselvalta was restored to Fidakar and has been largely ruled from Halaler. Despite the region being almost entirely dominated by the Uliveru Mountains, various projects such as hydroelectric dams have been constructed and the area is a major source of the electricity used in Fidakar and by far its biggest source of renewable energy.
