Ian Berowalt Crowcasa (17 September 1920 - 30 March 1993) was a Morstaybishlian politician, army officer and writer. He was a Podite High Elderthane of Great Morstaybishlia from 1961 to 1975. He served as Folkspart for West Abingdon for 28 years, from 1954 until 1982. He is known in history as the War High Elderthane. Ideologically an economic liberal and imperialist, for all of his career he was a member of the Principles.
Of mixed Staynish and Drakaland parentage, Crowcasa was born in Sani Bursil to a wealthy, aristocratic family. He joined the Morstaybishlian Army in 1938, and saw action in several wars. He led the Principles through three thanings spanning over a decade, leading his third thaning as a National Coalition between the Principles, Progress and Civics. Near the end of the Auroran Imperial War the National Coalition - a coalition of all major political factions in the Folk's Hall - broke down due to disagreement following South Staynes' independence referendum.
Along with Walter Johannes, they are the only two prime ministers to serve for more than ten years.
