Of mixed Staynish and Drakaland parentage, Crowcasa was born in Bursil to a wealthy, aristocratic family. He joined the Morstaybishlian Army in 1938, and saw action in several wars. He led the Principles through three ministries spanning over a decade, leading his third ministry as a National Coalition between the Principles, Progress and Civics. Near the end of the Auroran Imperial War the National Coalition - a coalition of all major political factions in the House of Representatives - broke down due to disagreement following South Staynes' independence referendum.

Along with Walter Johannes, they are the only two prime ministers to serve a term for more than ten years.
