Syngendebakke is being a extreme rural and remote village on the border of Aduraszna, and is the subject of minor diplomatic controversy between Nystatiszna and Tavaris due to alleged connections to the disappearance of Adevra Nuvo Tandashri.

Legend

The story originated from Syngendebakke in the 1970s, that tells the story of the village encountering a large, green walking vegetable spirit with bark coming out of its mouth and the marking of 'ingredient' on its arm written in Nys'tat'en. The female vegetable spirit entered into the village during a horrific storm, speaking the language of the spirits however through their gestures, she pointed towards the granary which the village understood as a her place. As the green spirit entered into a granary and began to consume several of the rations marked to survive the winter, which of course the village understood that the vegetable spirited need to be fatten up before being made into the soup. The vegetable spirit ate two weeks worth of rations, fattening up greatly and then rested their head after consuming the village's barrel of ale. The village thanked the vegetable spirit and opened the spirit to gather the ingredients from her body, to-which is placed into a large iron pot at the village's shrine and everyone in the village brought a ingredient to the pot. The village was grateful for the spirit for delivery of much needed food, during the harsh storm and troublesome harvest. The village peoples danced and celebrated for the gift of the walking vegetable spirit building a small shrine alongside the village's main shrine as thanks. The vegetable spirit fed the village throughout the violent storm and each year, the village peoples' gathered together their vegetables to create a statue of the kind vegetable spirit before placing the statue into the pot.

Disappearance of Adevra Nuvo Tandashri and the International Forum Incident

The 1972, Adevra Nuvo Tandashri was backpacking across Borea, starting in Aduraszna and traveling in the rural parts of the country. The Tavari nationale disappeared after being refused enter in Nystatiszna by the NIB, and the last recorded at a record store buying a music tape for their device. It was reported by the NIB that Mrs. Tandashri attempt to cross the border several other times at different points of the border was turned back, though her family refused this claim stating that their daughter wouldn't ever go to Nystatiszna willingly and that she visiting a park near the border between the two nations. Until 2022 during a International Forum charity and goodwill event, where ambassadors would tell children stories from their home country, Eirin Slovkry told the Syngendebakke Soup to the children during which the Tavari IF ambassador, noticed certain elements of the folk story relating to the disappearance case. The Tavaris government issued a request to the government of Nystatiszna to question the citizens of Syngendebakke who was alive during 1972, only to be informed that anyone alive during then, would have passed on already. Later, the Tavari government request to send team to investigate the village first hand but the requested was refused due to safety concerns of Tavari team. However, pressure from the Federation and making a offer to send their own kemonomimi team to the investigate the village on behalf of the Tavaris government.

Frankie on True Crime

A Travai true crime podcast, 'Frankie on True Crime' released a three-part episode and a detail investigation about the disappearance and the folk story in June, joining alongside the Côtois investigation team to the village despite warnings by the NIB due to most Nystatinnes having never seen a non-Kemonomimi before. Frankie investigation led him to accuse the Nystatiszna government of covering up the disappearance of Adevra Nuvo Tandashri and that everyone in the village was a cannibal. The investigation itself, didn't find any traces of Adevra Nuvo Tandashri but the small shrine to the vegetable spirit alleged by Frankie that it is where they killed the woman. The Côtois official investigation announced the village was not involved in the disappearance and their wasn't any trace of the missing woman, the folk story appearing near at the same time and elements was just a coincidence. However Frankie investigation and reading into the report, came away with a different view stating that the village is true and that they murdered and ate Adevra Nuvo Tandashri.

Akuan View

The folk story has roots tied to various other folk stories, and fairly mundane by East Borean Akuanism standards. The folk story pre-existing origins tie back to various other folk stories of spirits made from food that gave itself to the village to consume during harsh storms. The tattoo itself, is fairly common in East Borean Akuan folk tales and myths, as it required that spirits being unable to communicate with the moral, often requiring to write down as food or as ingredient to inform the villagers of its purpose. Despite this, many individuals use the Syngendebakke Soup as a source for Neo Anti-Akuanism arguments targeting Nystatiszna as unsuitable as a modern nation.

Discovery and Return of the Body

The body of Adevra Nuvo Tandashri was discovered in a forest in Nystatiszna, the body being highly decomposed after the decades in 1, December 2023 by a RCEU wildlife preservation team on accident while using drones to follow a herd of animals. The team notified the NIB in order to recover the body, and it was identified to be Mrs. Tandashri via her personal belonging and the body was returned to Tavaris. However, the podcast reached mainstream conscious and it is still extremely commonly believed that village of Syngendebakke killed and ate Mrs. Tandashri despite the autopsy of the body, proving that the woman died from the cold rather than being killed. Frankie has yet to apologize nor take down his episodes on the Syngendebakke soup, making another episode on the subject promoting the conspiracy that Nystatiszna is covering up the murder by finding a look-like orc. Saying Tavaris is going along with it in order to have improved relations with the RCEU, and that Jeanne Pierre organized the whole scheme to cover it all up.
