The Nystatiszna Intelligence Bureau, known informally as the NIB, is a Intelligence agency, serving both domestic and foreign for the Akuan State of Nystatiszna. Officially tasked with gathering, processing, and analyzing national security information from around the country & the world, primarily through the use of human intelligence, interrogation and alternative information gathering methods such as social media scraping. The Bureau primarily focused is the stability of the country, via internal and external intelligence, policing action, re-education centers and counter espionage.
The NIB acts as a law enforcement agency and as a overseas/domestic intelligence gathering agency. The agency authorized by law to carry out and oversee covert action at the behest of the dictator of NIB, Viktor von Dotseth. It exerts internal political influence through its tactical divisions, such as the Special Activities Center. It has been alleged by sapient rights watchdog groups that NIB has been performed thousands of crimes against sapient rights including stalking, assault, kidnappings, torture and assassinations of activists, citizens and politicians.
Since the 2015 the Bureau has been placed under control the President Office, later during the reform of the country, it now is under the authority of the crown.
The NIB has increasingly expanded its role, including covert paramilitary operations and industrial heists. One of its newest divisions, the Information Operations Center (IOC), acts as a cyber-warfare department and social media troll farm.

The Bureau has been the subject of many controversies, including species rights violations, cyberattacks, propaganda, drug trafficking and industrial espionage.
Nagato placed strict sanctions on the Bureau in response to the 2009 Ransomware attack which crippled the healthcare industry. The ransomware attack was linked back to Nystatiszna, after Nagato cybersecurity experts was able to partly de-encrypt the ransomware and was able to claw information together which pointed at the computer that created the ransomware files had Nys'tat'en fonts installed. Linguistic analysis of the ransomware note clearly pointed at a non-Nagatoian and the structure of the sentences similar to Borean languages. In the 8th of February the government came to the conclusion to pay the cyber ransom on the infected devices, to which the computers infected with the ransomware bricked with in 84 hours after payment.
