The nation of Aldaar, situated in the deserts of the Anabat in Western Gondwana, is an area with many rich and diverse flora, with around 4,700 species, of which just under half (46%) are endemic. The region covered by Aldaar's de jure claims can be split into several phytogeographic zones, including the coastal, savanna, the western semi-desert scrublands, the Highlands, the sub-alpine zone, the alpine zone, the eastern scrub-steppe, various oases, and the sandy desert zone that covers the majority of the region.

Coastal zone

Ephedra equisetina, a typical plant of the Aldaari coast

This region, located on the western coast of Aldaar, is primarily comprised of maquis and arid steppes and scrublands.

The area is largely defined by shrubs including poterium spinosum, or the thorny burnet, and occasional large flora such as juniper, cypress, and Pistacia trees. However, much of the coastal area has been taken over by Aldaari agricultural operations, especially for citrus, loquat, fig, apricot, apple, and pomegranate trees, as well as various herbs such as lavender.

Other characteristic flora include Pinus halepensis, Erica arborea, Asparagus acutifolius, Quercus coccifera, Crataegus azarolus, Cistus spp., Phlomis spp., Helichrysun italicum, Arabis spp., Brassica spp., Celtis occidentalis, Acer grandidentatum, Crataegus spp., Artemisia spp., Atriplex caniscens, Malva spp., Cercocarpus ledifolius, Ephedra equisetina, Hippophae rhamnoides, Prunus pumila, and Lopophora deserui.
