North Ethalrian Confederacy

The North Ethalrian Confederacy, commonly referred to as North Ethalria is an Ethalrian federal state which has existed since late September 2019 between Vothetria and Kothalria. Although de jure a confederacy of equal states, the Confederation is considered de facto controlled and led by the larger and more powerful member, Vothetria. The confederacy is landlocked, and borders Caltharus, Staynes, Durentrus, Faethalria and Kothalria.

The Overseer is responsible for the transition period between two nation states to a singular North Ethalria, bound by a constitution. The transition is ongoing.
The confederacy has a population of 66 million in 2020, of which 39.32 million live in Vothetria. Whilst Irvindel is twice as big as Karinthus, the latter is the de facto capital city. The confederacy has access to international trade and a small merchant navy at the Caltharusian cities of Kingsfort, Cavenhelm and Lamburtupol via the Ider River, which makes them semi-dependent on Morstaybishlia. North Ethalria's GDP per capita grew by 3.4 percent per year over a three year period from 2017.
The North Ethalrian Military is a professional capable force, consisting of 1.17 million total personnel. They are the principal deterrent force against any aggression that could be shown against the sovereign state of North Ethalria. All military and security forces, including the Armed Forces, are under the command of the Overseer of North Ethalria, currently Clauzia Sarohart. It has a budget of $31.3 billion as of 2021, which equates to an average of 2 percent spending between Vothetria and Kothalria. Its main battle tank is the Howlitzer I which entered the armed forces in November 2019.
