The Leader of the Labour Party is the head of the Labour Party of Great Morstaybishlia. The incumbent is Franklin Barvata, who was elected in August 2017 and has also been the Prime Minister of Great Morstaybishlia since 2019.

History

The role of Leader of the Labour Party was created in 1900 when Kimbet Branson formed the political party. In 1917, Branson was a member of the Parliamentarian forces which saw the monarchy hand over the right to absolutism by signing the Great Charter of the Liberties.

When Branson retired, the line of succession passed to Venran Bisherne. The Labour Party voted to establish elections and in 1924 Riannar Bell became the first elected Labour leader.
