Berowalt Staves (Berowalt Gustav Staves; born 18 July 1886) was a Caltharusian Labour politician serving as the 7th and 9th Prime Minister of Great Morstaybishlia between two separate periods; upon the resignation of Kirus Guivarch he became Prime Minister on 6 June 1939. Situations in the Principality of Norograd was worsening by the late 1930s and early 1940s and he lost several rebellious backbench MPs to the opposition, forcing his hand in a General Election which saw him lead a minority Labour government for 15 months. Upon the February 1942 General Election he lost to Alec Lanx who himself had a hung parliament and led a Liberal minority government for 226 days; the shortest ministry ever in Morstaybishlia. In the September 1942 General Election he led a second minority Labour government which lasted 280 days. The General Election of 1943 took place, but he inevitably lost to Alec Lanx for the last time.
