Anapa is a city in the Oan Isles that forms the nucleus of the Anapa Municipality and is ruled by the Anapa Local Government. It is located on the eastern side of the island of Manaakitangamotu. It is the most populous and economically important city on that island.
It is the fourth largest city in the Oan Isles by population after Noapa, Tokapa, and Tauranga a te Toka, respectively. Nevertheless, it is considered the second-most visited city in the Oan Isles after Tokapa and the third most well-known city in the country after Tauranga a te Toka.
Anapa is the location of many resorts, casinos, amusement parks, hotels and other tourist attractions. It is the location of one of the Kuthern company JV Marine World Parks & Entertainment's Marine Kingdom Water Park and Resort. The development brought billions of dollars in foreign investment and tourism. Besides tourism, entertainment and retail, it also has a large professional services sector as firms such as Ita Marama have offices there.
The city is the hometown of famous people such as Arana Marama, head of the Green Party of the Oan Isles and Minister of Foreign Affairs. It is home to the University of Anapa, the third most prestigious institution of higher education in the Oan Isles and enjoys a high population of educated young people.
The total population is 2,300,000 people including outlying towns and country side. It is surrounded by rainforests and mountains. Due to its close proximity to the Aequator, it has a tropical rainforest climate.
The most widely spoken language is the Oan language, and the Polynesian people make up the vast majority of citizens. Due to foreign investment from Kuthernburg, it has a large minority of Kuthern, Latian and related nationalities, thus it has a large proportion of people who speak Spandard (the official language of Kuthernburg) and Staynish. The most widely practiced religion is Mauism, followed distantly by Mainland Thaerism.
