Amala Rose Ovascar (born 31 October 1990), better known by her stage name Amala Rose, is an Ethalrian-born Vothetrian singer-songwriter and politician who is currently Home Department Minister for North Ethalria since 2019.
Born to Caltharusian mother Arin Rose Ovascar and Ethalrian father Levin Sarohart in Wüller, Amala Rose studied at Wüller College and later moved to the countryside where she began her musical career in 2008. In her first years she had limited success, but in 2017 she topped the charts with her song "Death to a Jay". When her cousin Clauzia Sarohart was elected to the Volksvertretung in February 2019 the two reunited with Amala Rose showing strong support to her political ideals. Later in the run-up to the June Election Amala Rose had indicated that she too would run for Member of Parliament for Ormchising, her local constituency. From her fame as a singer-songwriter and her relationship to the leader of the VWP Sarohart, who was a candidate for the Prime Ministership; Amala Rose was elected to the house by a margin of 3%. She was then appointed Home Department Minister.
In December 2020, Amala Rose was a confirmed candidate to the 14th edition of Urthvision.
