Kyrloth, officially the Republic of Kyrloth (Vaaran: Reirenua is'Kirlos /ɹeɪ.ɾe.nu.a is.kir.lɒs/) was a primarily zrei elven country in western Borea whose territory comprised of the majority of the western third of the continent of Borea, the Tscharun, Sarun, Karun and Boreyjr islands and the Slodhir, Undirnor and Far Kotari island chains. Kyrloth had a population of 25,104,008 (according to the 2020 census). The country shared a land border with Aduraszna, to the east.
Sinter Tass, leader of the Soldiers' Guild, became the prime minister following the assassination of his predecessor, Hefanira Tara. His political party went on to win[disputed ] the 2019 election, before invading and annexing Kireitarenu'a and Annexation of Izria. Following the failed Invasion of Kurandia, The Republic was weakened by a general strike organised by the protest movement and political alliance The Opposition, which culminated in a full-scale revolution at the Victory Square Protest, leading to the declaration of the West Borean Federation. In the interests of democracy[disputed ], Tass was allowed to run in the ensuing election, and was relegated to the second largest party. Tass and the Guild refused to acknowledge the defeat or the legitimacy of the Federation, and began a two-month-long civil war to attempt to regain control of the government. The Soldiers' Guild, having lost nearly all of the international support it had previously enjoyed, was defeated, conclusively ending the Republic. Tass was arrested by Opposition forces and was killed in custody on 16 October 2022, marking the end of the Republic.
