Logística Petrolera Museum (Frakanic: Musée de la logistique pétrolière; Staynish: Museum of Petroleum Logistics) or also known by its nickname as "Staynish: Côtois Containment Zone; Norgsveltian: Côtois inneslutningssone" by Norgsveltians tourists and soldiers stationed in New Leganes. Is a museum complex in New Leganes, Oblivion Isles built in 1997 in effort from the Leganesian government to better market itself to the Federation after a tourism ad campaign in the 1970s-1980s targeting the Norgsveltian Crown Realm found the citizens from the Federation heavily disliked visiting New Leganes. The Leganesian government hired a Côtois sociology research firm to interview Côtois tourists who went to the country and study why they perceived to have a negative view of their experience in the country. They study found that Côtois visitors found that the traditional tourist features of NL and overwhelming majority of visitors from the Federation cited wanting to see the oil industry and its logistics. Being completely disappointed in the lack of museums and exhibits for the industry as well not enjoying visiting the beaches or historical sites. Despite the moderate bewilderment of the Leganesian tourist board, it was decided that the Côtois tourist numbers was worth the investment into creation of a museum and facilities to better capture the market from Côtois. The museum was finished in 1997 and a mock oil rig was finished in 1999, after both was completed a renewed ad campaign targeted the Norgsveltian Crown Realm in 2000. The tourists from the Federation surpassed initial exceptions, the museum became a topic of study for it's impact on the surrounding businesses and impact. To this day, Côtois tourists that visit outside of the Norgsveltian Crown Realm, New Leganes is the number one destination for Côtois tourists.

History

Logística Petrolera Museum was designed by Leopoldo Andrada (ask Sammy) a oil industry historian and a Vivienne Favager a Côtois sociologist and architect. It bucked the trend of traditional museum architecture in New Leganes, being designed in a 'functional' style that was described by a unnamed member of the Leganesian tourist board as 'hideous' and 'unappealing aesthetic.' Despite their concerns, Favager reassured the board that Côtois heavily enjoy the functionalism and see it as attractive. LegaPetro donated several vehicles and materials to the museum, as well donating a large sum of money into the museum. Favager often had to fight against the Leganesian tourism board when it came to the internal design. The tourist board, complaining that the queue times for programs would last too long and cause visitors to lose interest. Another concern was the one-way path design the museum had, making backtracking difficult with only a few exceptions and the having more bathrooms spread across the museum than similar buildings of its size. Favager made several replies to the tourism board, explaining that museum need so many bathrooms due to the amount of consumption of coffee, and the Côtois queue threshold is significantly higher than majority if not one of the highest on Urth. The lack of easily backtracking is simply due to Côtois travel tends not to backtrack within museums or related facilities, as they spend a significant amount of time in exhibits which is factored into estimated queue times. Gyllir Motor Corporation was interested in the museum, offering donation of its own work vehicles and donation of money. As a result of accepting the donation, the museum was authorized to expand to include lot of land to have trains, vehicles and boats on display.

The construction of a mock oil rig was seen as a bit of a extreme by the tourist board, as they think it would have been a reach that Côtois tourists would want to visit one. However LegaPetro and Gyllir Motor Corporation offered to pay for the construction of a mock oil rig, still the Tourist board thought it would be unreasonable to build a mock oil rig in the spot selected. When the museum opened, and after the ad campaign in 1998 targeting the Federation. The Museum had over million tourists total in the year, including during the tourist off-season and resulting in a brief moment where New Leganes hotels reached 80% occupancy for a three months after the museum opening. The overwhelming tourists numbers coming from the Federation resulted in the Tourism Board to accept the offer to construct the oil rig from the companies and invested into the [city pls sammy] in the Oblivion Isles to better service the increase tourist agency.

The mock oil platform was finished in 1999, which became a massive attraction for Côtois tourists but virtually no other tourists from other nations visited the attraction. The 2000 ad campaign targeting Norgsveltian Crown Realm was more successful than the 1970s and 1980s campaigns, with the largest group of tourists coming from the Federation who came with the express purpose to visit the museum and mock oil rig. [Name sammy pls] executive on the Tourism Board expressed a deep level of confusion about why the Côtois tourists was so attracted to LPM and the mock oil platform. Being quoted as saying

"I just don't get it, I just don't. Why on Urth are these people so interested in petroleum? It's not the politics or the history [of petroleum]. It's just the process getting and refining it or the history of the [machines] for it. Why are they satisfied just by seeing some train that used to haul [it]? They don't go to the beaches or any other [attractions]. It's just the industry. There is even a market for boat captains to take people out to see to watch oil tankers haul oil. Are they okay? They don't care for whale watching, they just want to see cargo boats and oil tankers."

The museum went under renovations in 2011 to include further technology aspect and Jotun assisting in increasing the use of technology within the museum. Including having simulators and short-length films for visitors about the production and harvest of petroleum. The resulting new features furthered tourism from the Federation, while not reaching the same level of the 1998 tourism levels. Is still notable for the increase.

Impact on [City] and Sociological Studies

The LPM heavily changed the [city name pls here sammy, pls pls pls] in unattended ways and a frequent topic of study. As a result of the large amounts of consistent tourists from the Federation the city was shaped around the LPM, having a increase in vegetarian dishes being serviced as restaurants, statues and art displays around the city showing the oil industry. Signs being written in addition to Cukish and Impelanzan, features Frakanic. Citizens of [city], have a working knowledge of Frakanic language. Public transportation has newer buses than other cities, due to Côtois tourists buying week-long bus passes to travel in the city rather than using Buddy or taxi service. As a result, stereotype of Côtois tourists formed in New Leganes as "Unnervingly patient; Polite but extremely blunt when spoke to; Orderly and rule following" and a common joke about Côtois tourists in New Leganes is that "They're taking a break from work, by watching others work."

Sociology Studies on Côtois Tourists

The Leganesian tourist board sponsored a study on Côtois tourists and on Industry Tourism as a whole. The study resulted in finding tourists from the Federation only vacation in other countries or outside the Crown Realm is for industry and train tourism. Industry tourism being a niche type of tourism that features visiting factories, logistic facilities or industrial zones, to which for the most part only citizens from the Federation spend a large sum on doing. Another result of the study was Côtois tourist don't have a specific season when they visit, rather they schedule in groups with other employees from the same city or town to all go at once. The study finding that most Côtois for other forms of tourism usually stay within the Federation or occasionally the Crown Realm due to the culturally and climate diverse nature of country. Venturing out for industrial tourism, happens often when the industry doesn't exist in the country or is unable to provide tourism activities. Traditionally industrial tourism only happened within the Federation, New Leganes inventively capitalize on the market of Côtois tourists seeking the niche market.
