Of Green and Gold is an ongoing roleplay, started in 2022, by Tretrid. It chronicles the history of Tretrid from shortly before the collapse of the Volscine Confederation to the end of Æthelwine Heardsunu's term as League of Novaris Secretary-General in 2022 while following the careers and personal lives of Heardsunu and Eoforwine Æthelstansunu.

In April 2023, Tretrid posted the final part of Of Green and Gold's prologue.

Plot

Prologue

The story opens with Æthelwine Heardsunu delivering his opening address to the Novaran Council on July 5, 2021. He condemns Tretrid and Volscina for their roles in the Correvan crisis. He states that he feels the need to do this especially because of his previous high-level role in the Tretridian government. In response, at the direction of Tretrdian Foreign Minister Sæwine Wealdmundsunu and Prime Minister Eoforwine Æthelstansunu, Tretridian Ambassador-at-Large to Novaris Beorhtsige Wulfricsunu delivers a statement at the following press conference denying the allegations made by Heardsunu and calls his ability to execute his duties as Secretary-General. Wulfricsunu also delivers a formal diplomatic complaint to Heardsunu for his speech.

At the end of the day, Heardsunu discusses the day's events with his wife, Cuðþryð Wynstansdohter, and they resolve to face whatever would happen next, starting with explaining their actions to their children, Ceolswið Æthelwinesdohter and Eadwine Æthelwineson. Meanwhile, Æthelstansunu reflects on Heardsunu's betrayal in solitude, eventually deciding that some secrets simply needed to be kept.
