After the decolonization of Tretrid in 1920, Mizore underwent two different forms of government such as the Nagato-backed government from 1921 to 1936 and now an absolute oligarchy led by Takashi Komuro since 2012. As of 1950, Mizore is part of the Nagatoian Commonwealth with Nagato. There have been talks of Nagato annexing Mizore, however, the Government of Mizore does not want any more interference with Nagato other than trade and commerce. This however still means it’s still up for discussion.
History
Independence from Tretrid
The Republic of Mizore became independent from Tretrid in 1920 following the decolonization of Tretrid. Being a large and impoverished nation, Mizore was collapsing from within due to limited government watch and a weakening economy. In 1921 the Kingdom of Nagato stepped in and established a military government along with backing Mizore’s economy with the Nagatoian perry. Nagato would export the resources from Mizore and in exchange for military and economic freedoms.
Mizorian Oligarchy
In 1936, under pressure from the global community, the Kingdom of Nagato disbanded the military government and helped establish an oligarchy in its place. This oligarchy had no elections and ran Mizore with its newly formed constitution. That same year, gold was found deep in the Mizorian Alps that caused Mizore’s economy to flourish for the first time in its history.
Nagatoian Revolutionary War
In 1940, the Kingdom of Nagato fell and the Imperial State of Nagato was established in its place. Because of this, the Nagatoian perry becomes devalued and Mizore fell into a depression for the next five years. The Grand Duchy of Nagato later was established in 1941 to combat the Imperial State of Nagato while sending aid to Mizore to combat the depression, this was later named the Shirayuki Airlift.
Mizorian Golden Era
After the Treaty of Castelia was signed to end the Nagatoian Revolutionary War and the 1945 Annexation Act was put into law, the Imperial State of Nagato was annexed by the Grand Duchy of Nagato. Since East Nagato ceased to exist, West Nagato was renamed Nagato. In 1950, Nagato invited the Mizore into the Nagatoian Commonwealth to share the Nagatoian dollar and have a joint military relationship. Mizore would keep its oligarchy, under the preface that it would not use its influence on other countries. The Commonwealth is still in effect today.
