The United Duchy of Meremaa or more commonly known as just Meremaa is an federal elective monarchy nation located in North Gondwana. Meremaa is an federal monarchy where 10 Dukes and Princes chose a new Grand Duke every 20 years. The current Grand Duke is Njord II of Cirland since 8th November of 2000. Meremaa was coloniesed by Norgsveldet in the late 1700s and early 1800s under the rule of Gustaf II. After the great war Meremaa was given homerule and was given control of it's own domestic affairs, with chosing their first Grand Duke in 1920 which became Lôke Dudla becoming Grand Duke Lôke I. In 1981 Meremaa it gained full independence after Norgsveldet's loss in the Tieresh Independence War, which made it near impossible for Norgsveldet to keep Meremaa as a colony. In 1990 Meremaa was dealing with a brutal civil war after Grand Duke Telvi II brutaly put down a labour strike with the army in the city of Morzk.
