The Ishindale Bombings was a series of terrorist attacks organized by the Kaldrbuthian Republican Front (KRF) on the 1st May, 2023. It being the deadliest terrorist attack in Concordian history since the Concordian Cold War. The attack was done in the city of Ishindale by the local KRF members there. The attack had been planned by Jakop Ørnlagrer, in an attempt of eradicating aristocratic and religious control in the city in larger organized attempt to start civil war in Kaldrbuth. The KRF had placed military grade explosives on several government owned buildings and religious structures including a child daycare center. Completely destroying the Ishindale Council building, the Ishindale Temple and Frida daycare center.
The bombings having killed 211 people, 100 of which were children, with 898 having been seriously injured, 3,812 having been injured and 6,215 being affected by the blast. After an investigation launched by the Kaldrbuthian Intelligence Service (KIS), the perpetrators were quickly found out within a week to be hiding in an abandoned building in the city. Which led to a shootout between the KRF members and the KIS. After the shootout it was found out after an interrogation of the KRF member of Eni Elidatur that the organization had been planning on overthrowing the monarchy. With attempted bombings all over the country having been stopped by the KIS and the Kaldrbuthian police before it could be realized. Including the attempted bombings of the Norgsveltian and Federation embassies in Hrafnheimr.
The KRF had stated through several different social media platforms that they will continue their militant activities until the Vinter Dynasty has been overthrown and a secular republic has been established to replace it. Claiming that “the old aristocratic way of rulership must end and a new era of modernity must be established”. Joint investigations done by the KIS, NCIS and LFIS has found that the KRF was able to gather military grade explosives through contacts they had with East Atlalandian military, which was revealed to the public on the 1st of June. Though the East Atlalandian government has rejected any involvement with the bombings. On the 8th of June the Kaldrbuthian Queen, Astrid XI, announced to the public of further crackdowns against KRF activity.
