The Axdel Armed Forces serves as the military of Axdel, tasked with defence of the country, global peacekeeping, humanitarian aid, and to promote the wider interests of the nation. It is a highly capable force, outfitted with the latest technological innovations available, and utilising renown training methods. A modernisation scheme implemented in 2004 is currently in operation to replace older units whilst also reducing the cost of future maintenance. Due to this, the greatest fraction of the military budget of ♅47bn ($40.9bn) is going towards the replacement/upgrading of older equipment.

Army

An Axdelian Army soldier during a training exercise

The Axdelian Army is the principle land warfare force of the Axdel Armed Forces. The force is primarily tasked with the defence of the nation, though it is well capable of overseas deployment and is an able invasion force. It deploys the Taurus lineage of main battle tanks, the Taurus 3 being based on the Kuthernburg Cougar 2 tank though highly modified. However, the Taurus 3 proved ineffective against Xagrurgian Warrior MBT's during the Auroran-Pacific War, with neither tank being able to consistently penetrate the others armour. Thus, the Taurus 4, armed with a larger 130mm gun which has proved to be more effective against composite armour, is being rushed through development and is expected to enter service as early as 2021. Recently, the army has replaced its ageing Norogradian armoured fighting vehicles with the highly modular SV AFV, which has 6 configurations each using the same base chassis, vastly reducing complexity and maintenance costs

Navy

The Axdelian Navy is the principle sea warfare force of the Axdel Armed Forces. It consists of three fleets, the surface fleet, the sub-surface fleet, and the logistics fleet. The surface fleet is comprised of surface vessels of the navy, whereas the sub-surface fleet is comprised of the submarines, and the logistics fleet comprised of the axillary support and replenishment ships.

Air Force

The Axdel Air force is the principle aerial warfare force of the Axdel Armed Forces. It deploys multiple attack aircraft for establishing air superiority, interdiction of enemy forces, and the precision elimination of ground targets. The air force makes ubiquitous use of UCAV's in combat for long-range ground attack missions and reconnaissance, and has very well developed stealth technology. Electronic warfare attacks are a major concern to the air force, thus they employ a wide variety of countermeasure suites and jamming equipment. The Axdelian navy employs one Ziggurat-class CATOBAR aircraft carrier, upon which Navy-pattern Jackdaw air-superiority and VTOL Raven attack fighters can be deployed, as well as a sizeable force of UCAV's.

Secrets and Intelligence Agency

The Secrets and Intelligence Agency is the unofficial espionage branch of the armed forces. It consists of several sub-divisions for domestic and international operations. The domestic affairs division of reconnaissance is not funded by the military budget, and is part of governmental spending. Alongside the Axdelian National Space Agency, is responsible for the operation of Axdelian reconnaissance satellites, the network of which is believed to be highly developed. (Leaked Content: known operational satellite classes include; Phyang photographic imaging, Lhyster radar imaging, Trojan electronic eavesdropping, Mytos ballistic launch detection, and Pagista nuclear explosion detection satellites.)
