The 2020 Aegis independence crisis was a constitutional crisis that occurred in South Staynes, Great Morstaybishlia in November 2020.

It occurred when five Labour MPs from Aegis leagued together and requested the Government of Great Morstaybishlia permit the Aegis population an independence referendum per the written clause in the Aegis Area Agreement 1977. Prime Minister Franklin Barvata traveled to meet with Axdelian President Diego Corbinn, where they both agreed was defunct as Norograd, the second signatory, was entirely replaced as an entity by Axdel in 1996. Barvata refused their request in parliament.
