Axdel is a largely temperate nation with significant deciduous forest coverage. The climate ranges from humid subtropical along the north coast, humid continental in the interior regions and temperate oceanic along the south. The [[Zycannes]] mountain range terminates along the Easter border with the rest of the country featuring the [[Teba Mountains| Teba]] and [[Auric Mountains| Auric]] mountain ranges
From the Ancient to medieval eras, the region where Axdel is now was dominated by the Kormistazic empire and its satellite states. The [[Norvians]] invaded the area in the early 8th century and introduced what would become Axdan language. After a five decade long series of invasions by the Morstaybishlian Empire, the area was known as Korstazia, and became a principality in the 19th century. The [[Auroran Imperial War]] saw Korstazia gain independence as [[Norograd]], before Axdel was founded after the [[Norograd Civil War]] in 1996.
Axdel has adopted the multinational [[Kirib]](♅) as its currency, like most other Auroran Nations.
