The Provisional Government (abbreviated to the PG, commonly known as the Government of the Wealdenite Republic, Wealdenite Provisional Government or WR Goverment) is the central executive authority of the Wealdenite Republic. The government is led by the prime minister (currently Cathryn Gargano, since 15 May 2023) who selects all the other ministers. The government was formed after the 2023 Cappedorite coup d'état, which saw the previous government of Cappedore replaced.
Ministers of the Republic are responsible to the Provisional Congress; they make statements there and take questions from its members. The government is dependent on congress to make primary legislation, and the government is fairly new and is intended, as stated by Gargano, to only be a temporary measure while the congress works on drafting and processing a new concordat.
The government is sometimes referred to as 'The Oracle', for that is where its primary operations take place in the capital city of Absolution.
