The Moderate & Centre Union of Wealden (Wealdenite: Pomyrkovany i Tsentralny Soyuz Ouelden; also known as the Moderate Union and abbreviated to MCU or PS; and also known as the Moderates) is a centrist, liberal-conservative political party in Wealden. The party generally supports tax cuts, the free market, civil liberties and economic liberalism, and have recently taken on some progressive and reformist ideologies under the leadership of Ruslan Zyma since 2022. It is the largest party in Wealden in terms of membership by far, and it is currently the largest party in opposition in the parliament. Currently, they are ahead of the Worker's Labour Party in polls, often by a large margin, to win the 2024 election.
The party is descended from the Conservative Party of Wealden (1971 - 1994) after various power struggles and political disagreements caused multiple members to split from the party in 1991, forming the General League of Moderates. Its sister party, the Democratic Party, also resulted from the eventual fall of the conservatives. The moderates are generally regarded to be more 'centre to centre-left leaning' than the Democratic Party.
