Formal diplomatic relations between Lapinumbia and Tretrid were established not long after the Cynebury Conference of 1510, which secured Lapinumbian independence from Dallacqua and marked the end of the Third Tretridio-Dallacquan War. However, evidence shows that the two polities had been in communication as early as the First Tretridio-Dallacquan War of 1257, as shown by a recovered letter sent by an ambassador of the then-new Kingdom of Tretrid to Vecitania.
