Jeremy Scott Kate, born on December 10, 1930 and passed away on April 11, 1998, was a renowned Phoexy songwriter in the country music genre.

In 1956, she wrote what was to become her biggest hit, "Love, Need Help!". Initially, she faced difficulty in getting the song recorded but eventually recorded it herself.

Kate was among the founders of the Phoenixian Council of Arts (PCOA), based in Afragola, and a co-founder of the Afragolan IndRecords (AIR), of which she served as the first president.

Due to health issues, Kate could only participate in four editions of the Grand Prix of Music between 1972 and 1973. During this time, she won the competition with her song "Io e Lui.

Despite health problems, she participated in four editions of the Grand Prix of Music between 1972 and 1975, winning with the song "Io e Lui" in 1972. "The green pearl" and "Are we immortal?" are the last songs of the singer-songwriter, published posthumously respectively in 1989 and 1990.

Kate passed away in Afragola, Belporto at the age of 68.
