Jeremy Scott Kate

Jeremy Scott Kate, born on December 10, 1930 and passed away on April 11, 1998, was a renowned Phoexy songwriter in the country music genre.

In 1956, she wrote what was to become her biggest hit, "Love, Need Help!". Initially, she faced difficulty in getting the song recorded but eventually recorded it herself.

Kate was among the founders of the National Academy of Country Music and advocate of the Phoenixian Council of Arts (PCOA), and a co-founder of the Afragolan IndRecords (AIR), of which she served as the first president.

She participated to seventeen editions of the Grand Prix of Music between 1972 and 1988, winning with the song "Io e Lui" in 1973 and in 1981 with "Amore a prima vista".

Kate passed away in 1998 in her house at Afragola at the age of 68.

"The green pearl" and "Are we immortal?" are the last songs of the singer-songwriter, published posthumously respectively in 1999 and 2000.
