The 2025 Marislian general election is the upcoming inaugural general election to elect 450 members to the National Assembly, the provisional lower house of Marislia. It is to take place on 1 February 2025, exactly one month after the planned independence from Great Morstaybishlia of 1 January 2025.
In May 2024, renouned trade unionist and best-selling author Konogan Ar Tallec established the Trade Unionist Party, establishing it as a provisional political party within the framework of an upcoming independent Marislia. Ar Tallec has the support of major trade unions within Kaltariezh, many of which have announced intentions to form cadet branches in an independent Marislia.
In June 2024, Auroran Parliament Member Tristan Pennros stepped down to form the Civil Interest Party ahead of upcoming independence. The party advocates for left-wing politics, identifying as democratic socialist. Romilda von Anzitter, leader of the Marislian Independence Party, formed the Thaerist Democratic Union several days later; the party follows in MARIP's footsteps, advocating right-wing politics and identifying with national conservatism and national populist policies.
The window for establishing political parties ahead of the first election will close when Marislia gains independence.
