Childhood
Yufraan Abd'ildarra was assigned female at birth and given the name Nadia Faruuk. They were born to Rashaad Faruuk, a carpenter in Mukarras and Sa'adah Isaawi Faruuk, a local schoolteacher on March 20, 1998. Their birth, along with one or two others, was considered extremely auspicious as it happened on the first day of Alnahda, the Aldaari New Year representing growth and rebirth. When they were six, their mother Sa'adah was brutally murdered by security hired by Golden Oil after she had participated in a protest against the corporatocracy. Afterwards, Omar Naciri - a friend and coworker to Sa'adah - would help raise them. They came out as Agender in the 7th grade, picking the historical unisex name Yufraan, the same first name as Yufraan Nuur'ildarra, the second Mutadiit of the First Aldaari Republic. While their father Rashaad and guardian Omar both readily accepted them, Golden Oil's policies of cultural suppression included suppression of gender identities differing from assigned sex at birth, as an integral part of Aldaar's culture is about accepting changesuch changes. As such, Yufraan was unable to legally get their name changed or receive any medical support.

In 9th grade, Yufraan was diagnosed with anxiety and began receiving treatment to help them with panic attacks. They have said that the good treatment they received and how much it helped them was what made them want to become a psychiatrist.

Revolutionaries Before Yufraan
Ever since the 1928 Mukarras Bombing, Tawaabah had been on a steady decline only buoyed by occasional bursts of public approval. As of 2021, when Yufraan Faruuk went to join the group, Tawaabah was on the back end. The last wave of support had been in 2011, and Tawaabah was running low on weapons, medical supplies, energy, and rations. Furthermore, while WEGEC was growing increasingly digitized, the leadership of Tawaabah were either unwilling or unable to do the same. Lastly, the leaders of the group were extremely disjointed, indecisive, and occasionally even corrupt, all further draining Tawaabah's resources. When Yufraan arrived, they attempted to persuade the leaders to listen to them, set differences aside, and work together to achieve their end goal; however, the leaders were unable to take any action, crippled by a self-imposed veto power and members with radically different ideas.
Sort of bad

Path of Suleiman
As the Tawaabah council failed to act on Yufraan's pleas, they felt they had to do something to ensure people would listen. For three days starting on October 13th, they had recurring dreams about the stories their "uncle" Omar had taught them about the exploits of Suleiman Abd'ildarra and the mythical Mohamed, about their various journeys and the lessons they had learned. The dreams also included events from Yufraan's own life; the death of their mother and girlfriend, the countless days that they said they "had wanted to do something more, but [were] unsure how." And they recounted hearing an almost ethereal voice permeating these dreams, offering vague encouragement. On the 16th, Yufraan held a traditional dream-interpretation ceremony involving peyote, which resulted in a single vision: themself, standing at the top of a mountain, with Suleiman standing behind them. Yufraan recognized the mountain as Jabal al-Bawdikaal, the place where Suleiman had received the first vision from Ildarra. Realizing what they must do, they gathered up three days worth of supplies and left for the mountain. From there, accounts vary, but overall the only thing that has been confirmed by Yufraan is that they did indeed encounter three trials on three separate days, and that they were not the same as Suleiman's trials. From there, Yufraan recounts reaching the top of al-Bawdikaal Mountain and speaking directly, for the very first time, with Ildarra herself. However, once again Yufraan has chosen not to disclose the details of this discussion publicly.
The three challenges

End of the Revolution
From Jabal al-Bawdikaal, Yufraan returned to the Tawaabah headquarters. Onlookers have reported hearing the faint sound of ethereal music playing, however, some have claimed that it was simply a radio in a nearby room tuned to a classical station which someone had forgotten to turn off. Yufraan went into the main meeting room, interrupting a leadership session, and began speaking impromptu to the assembled crowd that had followed them it what would become known as the "30-Second Speech," so named not for its length but for the fact that it reportedly only took people 30 seconds or less to decide to follow Yufraan. From there, Yufraan quickly took leadership of Tawaabah by a popular vote instigated by an unknown member of the crowd. They immediately had videos of the speech spread through Aldaari social media and digital networks, and immediately began organizing mass strikes and marches in the major town of Hasa, which served as a WEGEC trade hub but also relied on significant amounts of collaboration with local organizers. They were able to completely cripple the economy of the city and significantly reduce Golden Oil's hold, which forced the unprepared and unsupported Golden Oil to 'retreat' from the city and quickly sell off their local assets, which were repurchased at extremely low prices by local Aldaari people. From there, Yufraan utilized similar tactics across the entire country of Mukarras, forcing WEGEC to abandon most local assets, although major assets such as oil drilling and refinement plants remained solidly under the control of Golden Oil mostly due to increased precautions and their more international nature. Finally, Tawaabah (under the leadership of Yufraan) set their sights on Golden Oil's last stranglehold - the city of Mukarras itself. After almost a month, a mixture of the same localized tactics with economic sabotage by shipping and manufacturing workers, the large increase of violence and harassment against AVG Guardsmen and Golden Oil executives, and the complete and mysterious shutdown of all of Golden Oil's computer systems would spell WEGEC's defeat for the time being, and on November 22nd of 2022, Yufraan would sign an agreement establishing them as the new President of Mukarras, while still allowing Golden Oil to continue operations in the Republic of Mukarras, a move criticized by many but cited by Yufraan as "a necessary measure to attain peace for the Aldaari people."
A great orator
