The Commission is part of the executive branch of the government of Wealden. It operates as a cabinet government, with 30 commissioners headed by the Chancellor. Its members are nominated by the Wealdenite Council and confirmed by the Wealdenite Parliament during elections, with the next election being held in June 2024.

The commission was formed after the 2003 constitutional reformation headed by Vivienne Medvedev. It is divided into departments and ministries headed by Secretaries of State (SoSs) who are responsible to a commissioner. There is one commissioner per state, representing every state of the union of Wealden respectively (the union being Everdane, Viridane, Covantia and Kimmera).
