He attended the University of Cynebury from 1980 to 1984, where he majored in international relations. While he scored high-marks, people around him later recalled that he was "a heavy partier" who "played as hard as he worked." Heardsunu would later express his "regrets" about the way he acted as a university student, stating that "that past version of [him] almost seems like a completely different person."
