In the 2022 federal election, the Labor Party emerged as the largest party in the Landsraad, but it did not have enough seats to govern alone.
After negotiations with other parties, the Labor Party joined forces with the Liberal Democratic Party and Phoenixia Progressives, to form a stable and effective government. This new alliance was named the [[New Horizon Alliance]].
The coalition was led by [[Clarenzio Metrofane]], a prominent figure in the Labor Party, who became the chancellor. Metrofane and his cabinet officially took office on 14 May 2022, marking the start of the New Horizon Alliance's governance.
