'''Mikhail Sankuda''' (1 August 1974 - 20 August 2021) was a senior [[Great Morstaybishlia|Morstaybishlian]] [[Progress Party (MBE)|Progress]] politician who served as Member of Parliament for Wolmet, Verhana from 2012 until [[Lantern Tower bombing|his death]] in 2021. He served as Secretary of State for Defence from 2019 until 2021 in [[Franklin Barvata|Franklin Barvata's]] [[First Barvata ministry|first]] and [[Second Barvata ministry|second]] ministries.
 
Sankuda was born in [[Saint Matilda]] in 1974 and educated in Cliffard School and the Trinity Officer Academy. He emigrated to the mainland after his service in the [[Imperial Navy]], which spanned over fourteen years, between 1992 and 2006, seeing action in the [[Meremaa Civil War]]. He reached the rank of Lieutenant Commander and commanded the frigate MBS ''Khaeron''.
