Mikhail Sankuda (1 August 1974 - 20 August 2021) was a senior Morstaybishlian politician who served as Member of Parliament for Wolmet, Verhana from 2012 until his death in 2021. He served as Secretary of State for Defence from 2019 until 2021 in Franklin Barvata's first and second ministries.

Sankuda was born in Saint Matilda in 1974 and educated in Cliffard School and the Trinity Officer Academy. He emigrated to the mainland after his service in the Imperial Navy, which spanned over fourteen years, between 1992 and 2006, seeing action in the Meremaa Civil War. He reached the rank of Lieutenant Commander and commanded the frigate MBS Khaeron.

Sankuda previously served the same Defence Secretary role in four Shadow governments from 2015 to 2019.
