The [[president of Volkia]] is both the {{wp|head of state}} and {{wp|head of government}} of the [[Volkia|Volkian Federative Republic]]. The position was established after the Volkian monarchy was abolished in 1888, and is directly elected every four years. The [[Constitution of Volkia|Volkian Constitution]] prohibits presidents from serving more than two terms. Presidents are elected on the last Wednesday in October and inaugurated on the second Wednesday of the following January.
