By the age of 5, Lambertus VII had begun education privately at the [[Sani Bursil Royal Palace]], in [[Sani Bursil]]. He was named Lambertus after his seventh paternal great-grandfather, Gustav after his fourth paternal great-grandfather and Velor from his father, a four generation tradition. In almost all of his teenage years, Lambertus VII was adamant he was to be crowned as King Gustav III, simply favouring the name over Lambertus or Velor, until his father willed him to be known as Lambertus VII in his last moments on his deathbed on the 6th of June 1991.
