Rulik I is the earliest documented pre-Suvolic ruler of the Nobility of Er, and is often credited with its creation. Most records of his life stem from the Uriv Monument, a monument discovered under the foundations of the Verk'ohist shrine to Kvebi K'atsi located in Erov, Biramura. Its depiction of Rulik I's early life has been widely considered false, as it claims Rulik I himself was born at the peak of Mount Magnik'ip'iro to Mortagra. Rather, archaeological digs in Erov have shown there to have been an ancient city located just north of modern Erov, where Rulik more likely was born. Considering his position of power it is possible that he may have been born to a politically influential family, and simply inherited said influence. Records from the Uriv monument also depict his rise to power, from his becoming ruler of Er to his unifying with the neighboring Khirel Kingdom through the marriage to Elakha.
