The Empire counts 2,556,880 people in "active duty," however, the Acronian definition of active duty includes members of the Royal Acronian Marshals, including the national police, border guard, and coast guard, as well as conscripted citizens serving their 18-month "active reserve" period, all of which are not normally counted among global militaries as active duty. As of 2020 the Acronian Armed Forces have total manpower of 4.1 Million, and has an active personnel of 2.2 Million (with the Acronian Marshalls).
It breaks down as follows (2020):
* The Acronian Army; 311,000 personnel.
* The Acronian Air Force; 63,000 personnel.
* The Acronian Navy; 410,000 personnel.
* Acronian Civilian Personal; 210,000 Personnel
As of 2020 the strength of the Operational Reserve is 2.6 Million personnel.
Apart from the three main service branches, the Acronian Armed Forces also includes a fourth paramilitary branch called the Acronian Marshall. It had a reported strength of 269,000 active personnel and 510,000 reserve personnel in 2020. They are used in everyday law enforcement, and also form a coast guard formation under the command of the Acronian Navy. There are however some elements of the Marshal that participate in Acronian external operations, providing specialized law enforcement and supporting roles.
