Quick and Well Meals (Frakanic: Repas rapides et bons) is a Côtois Worker Cooperative that specializes in the production and sale of ready-to-eat bento boxes. Founded in 1970, the cooperative is dedicated to providing healthy and delicious meal options for people on-the-go. It was the first successful, worker cooperative that specialized in fast food has successfully lasted longer than twenty-five years benchmark and able to spread to have several restaurants outside of its home petite-nation. Being found in every petite-nation within the Federation and almost found in every city in the country. The cooperative is the largest fast food service within the country.

History

Quick and Well Meals was founded in 1970 by a group of food enthusiasts and chefs who were inspired by the Borean bento box tradition. They believed that the bento box was the perfect solution for people who wanted a quick and healthy meal, and who didn't have time to sit down at a restaurant or cook at home. The Cooperative's first location was opened in République C.D, and it quickly became popular among locals who appreciated the convenience and quality of its bento boxes. Quick and Well Meals has since expanded to other cities across the Federation, and has become a go-to option for busy professionals, students, and travelers.

The cooperative success draws from offering the healthy and quick meals, rather than junk food. Junk food and sugar being heavily taxed as well regulated by the Federal government, meaning the cooperative firm was able to avoid the extra taxation by the government. As well subsidies from the government for providing healthy foodstuff for general population, making it more affordable.

Products

Quick and Well Meals' products are inspired by the Borean bento box tradition, but with a Côtois twist. The cooperative's chefs use high-quality ingredients sourced from local farms and international suppliers; and aim to create balanced and flavorful meal options that appeal to a wide range of tastes. Quick and Well Meals offers a variety of bento box options, including rettarianism, pescatarians, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free choices. The boxes are designed to be easy to transport and eat on-the-go, and come with chopsticks and napkins for convenience.

In a commitment to environmentalism, the cooperative started charging extra for their recycled bento boxes. Instead offering the original price for customer who bring in their own bento boxes, then have their boxes filled. However, customers still preferred the ready to eat boxes despite the increased price for them.

Impact and Recognition

Quick and Well Meals has received recognition and praise for its innovative approach to fast food and its commitment to using sustainable and environmentally ingredients. The Cooperative has been featured in several media outlets such as Red Dove Media, and has become a popular option for people who want healthy and convenient meal options.

In 2020, Quick and Well Meals was awarded the Prix de l'Innovation Alimentaire by the Côtoise government, recognizing the workers' cooperative contribution to the food industry and its dedication to providing healthy and delicious meal options for people on-the-go. Overall, Quick and Well Meals is an example of how a Cooperative can use innovative ideas and quality ingredients to provide healthy and convenient meal options for people with busy lifestyles.
