Pax-Draconica is [[Staynish|Staynicised]] portmanteau of the abbreviations for Packilvania (i.e., Pax) and Drakkengard (i.e., Drakk) with a Stayno-Packilvanian locative suffix "-ica" (or "-ika" in Packilvanian
The term Caliphate is derived from the word Caliph (known in Packilvanian as muKhalif and in Drakken as mwuNkhalivi). The Caliph refers to a temporal ruler who acts as the secular guarantor of the existence of Magisterium of Paxism and Paxism as a whole, and is the temporal figurehead of the Ummah (the community of believers). The term originates from a Middle Packilvanian word ''khalfa'', meaning to gather up and destroy weeds in a garden or field of crops or planted flowers. The term was first used by High Magister of Meker, Xumar Dumaymid, in 1768 in his opinion entitled ''On the Remit of the Temporal and the Spiritual'' (Packilvanian: ''weluBonooniyat aleYastarishme nadine leHivamishme'').
