Nystatiszna
A former corporate owned prison colony of Zreiru'a. During the Great War, Zreiru'a was forced to deal with the extreme scorched earth and guerrilla warfare measures taken in the former prison colony. All railroads were either destroyed as part of the scorched earth strategy or fell into disrepair. Majority of the paved roads turned into minefields and the main highway connecting all the cities fell into disrepair. Massive famines swept across the country causing mass death.

After the dissolution of Zreiru'a, Seven groups in Nystatiszna declared independence at the same time. All seven denounce the other groups and claim to be the legitimate government. After a long, brutal civil war ending in a ceasefire and a peace treaty in 1975. During the peace talks and later treaty, all sides agreed to a "fair" trial in which each side (except the members of the military which all were trialed and shot) had to give up amnesty on some members of their leadership. The trials always ended in guilty and the death penalty. By the end of the 2010s, the government was finally stable enough to formally declare itself the legitimate Republic/Government of the region.

Early 1700s - Zreiru’a grants a charter to colonize the region to the (BTC) “Borea Trade Company.” Company harvested the pelts from animals in the region.
Late 1700s - Due to overharvesting of the various animals of the region. The Nystatiszna deer, beaver and wolves have gone extinct as have many other large mammals. Throwing the ecosystem into chaos, causing devestion in ways felt for generations. The company responded to growing environmental collapse by clearing the forests for lumber and creating plantations for cash crops.
Early 1800s - The plantations requiring a consistent supply of labor, BTC begins to import prisoners and nekomimi aboard. Seeing the nekomimi people as more passive and expendable compared to elven counterparts. Nekomimi was promised a good wage and a chance to own their own farm by BTC recruitment officers. However this was always a lie as they would trap the nekomimi into a permanent state of debt.
Mid 1800s - Nekomimi protested living conditions in Newport resulting in the Corn Street Massacre. Nekomimi uprisings all across the prison colony, the protests happening at the same time as harvest season for the plantations. In response the BTC requests that Zreiru’a send additional forces to “guard” the plantations and “motivate” the workers.” the request being granted
Late 1800s - First nekomimi revolution was crushed with all the revolution leaders dragged out into the streets of Newport and hanged in the public square.
1900 - The market for corn and timber collapsed. The BTC went bankrupt leaving millions to fend for themselves as the shareholders and executives had left the company just before filing for bankruptcy. The assets of the company were sold off to the Elven population on Nystatisza and mainland Zreiru'a exclusively.
1902 - Second Nekimini revolution was crushed by the Zreiru'a backed elven militias and garrison forces. Leaders of the revolution were shot without trial.
1915 to 1919 - Great War and collapse of Zreiru'a state.
1920 - The new nation of Nystatisza is formally declared under a military dictatorship by colonel Naylorbrookisza, formerly in charge of the garrison. Several other groups also declare they are the legitimate government of Nystatisza resulting in a brief but fiery civil war.
1930 to 1936 - Crack down on democratic protests leads to civil uprising in the streets. The military maintains control after using chemical weapons.
1944 - Colonel Naylorbrookisza passes away from poisoning. Leaving the military junta in charge of the government.
1950 - Increasing pressure on the government from protesters leads to minor land reforms.
1951 - Reforms are repelled and dissenters arrested. Mustard gas being used extensively.
1960 - the junta declares Asta Holsberisza as queen and absolute leader of Nystatisza. The collective backlash uniting the peoples regardless of political alignment to protest against the new regime.
1965 to 1975 - Second civil war ends with the Imperial Party gaining control of the government and created the current form of apartheid government. Nekomimi are formally recognized as second class citizens with legal protections. Humans and Ursine are considered to be above Nekomimi but below elven.
1975 to 2000s - The quiet period, disbanding of the military and Nyasterisuzu trials. Nyasterisuzu trials put the previous members' government and the various terrorist groups that were active during the Civil War on trial.
2000 - The final trial is over and aired on the radio.
2020 - The Imperial Party formally states its goal is legislation into being a constitutional Monarchy.
