The Military Forces of Esteira (Esteiran: Forças Militares de Esteira - FME) are the unified armed forces of the Republic of Esteira. They consist of the Esteiran Army, Esteiran Navy, Esteiran Naval Infantry, Esteiran Air Force, and Esteiran National Guard. The National Police of Esteira, while not technically part of the military, can be placed under the control of the Department of National Defense during wartime.
The primary purpose of the military forces is to defend Esteiran territory from attack, combat drug trafficking, assist the civilian population in case of natural disasters, provide search and rescue capabilities, and numerous internal security assignments. As of 2022, the military forces had 132,105 active personnel and 96,955 reservists.
