Mateus Nataniel Torres (born August 18, 1949) is an Esteiran Army officer who has been Chief of the General Staff since 1991. He is married to Director General Ariana Torres of the Esteiran National Police and his youngest son is Geraldo Torres, current Speaker of the National People's Assembly of Esteira.
