Kozam is a polytheistic religion which originated in ancient Kormistazm and has a present-day following primarily in modern Axdel. It is regarded by practitioners as the indigenous religion of Axdel and a nature religion.

Kozam revolves around the Enul (translation: "gods", literally: "unity"), the twin dieties of Sek and Nokt which created the world, and the angelic Idola (translation: "Angels" literally: "Servants"), supernatural entities who embody the natural phenomena created by the Enul. A third type of diety, Kaevul (translation: "Old one"), referred to as Kevatuul embodies the universe at large.

Beliefs

There are two major gods in the Kozam pantheon, Sek and Noct, with each having a set of idols dedicated to certain elements of nature or phenomenon, their creations and actions being detailed in Kairos.

Sek

Sek is the Kozam god of life and creation, taking the form of either a pale dragon or a Caucasian woman dressed in a white toga.

Idols of Sek

Aquanis

Aquanis is the Idol of rain and rivers, created by Sek when she called down a great deluge to cleave the mountain range constructed by Noct into many pieces and carve deep valleys into the earth.

Eleneri

Nokt

Noct is the Kozam god of tradition and craft, taking the form of a black eagle or a tanned man dressed in utilitarian wear like that of a blacksmith.

Idols of Nokt

Arkhalis

Arkhalis is the Idol of storms and wind, birthed by Noct after he blew upon the world during its creation, resulting in a tempest which broke apart the mythical flying city of Lapatus and confining humanity to the earth.

Caelx

Caelx is the Idol of the earth, said to be formed when Noct was forging the earth and imbuing it with its mineral wealth.

Kevatuul

Kevatuul is a Kaevul who embodies the universe. He makes a pact with the King of Lapatus, Ericco Kanaquill, shattering his body to create the stars and granting the king great power. The king's wife soon birthed the twins Sek and Nokt who bore the power of the Kaevul divided between them, making them the Ano.

Mythos

Beginning

The Kaira tome states that in the beginning, there was only an endless void, featureless and dark like a starless twilight. Upon this expanse there was a single icon of creation; the floating city of Lapatus in which humanity thrived. In Lapatus there was no ill or suffering, only luxury and ecstasy. The people spent their days pursuing novel arts and exploring the exotic culture spread of the city, and were ruled over by the eternal king Juluri Kanaquill. However, whilst all inside the city were fully satisfied with the world and existence, within the darkness of the void there existed an entity known as Kevatuul, the incarnate God of Chaos. Kevatuul had watched the city for eternity, eyes burning with scorn as the magic keeping the city afloat in the void also prevented him from destroying it and allowing his void to reach true entropy and ending time.

One day, King Kanaquill passed over rulership to his son Ericco Kanaquill wip
